This two day course covers the essential elements of Intensive Care medicine, pitched at new doctors and nurses entering into critical care environments.
Topics covered include assessing seriously ill patients, airway management, managing respiratory failure, ventilation basics and strategies, haemodynamic monitoring and shock, trauma management, neurological emergencies, sepsis, nutrition, renal impairment and electrolyte disturbances, sedation and transport of the critically ill patient.
