This comprehensive full-day course is designed for doctors seeking to develop confidence and competence in the safe insertion and management of chest drains. Combining focused tutorials with hands-on practical workshops, participants will gain both the theoretical knowledge and procedural skills required for clinical practice.
The course will cover key topics such as important physiological considerations, equipment selection, imaging interpretation including ultrasound, prevention and management of complications and post-procedure care. Practical sessions will involve small group workshops for hands-on practice.
The course will be supported by multi-disciplinary faculty from Respiratory Medicine, Cardiothoracics and Intensive Care.
